Homemade banana ice cream

If the weather where you are is as hot as Chicago right now, you’ll love this recipe. Actually, even if it’s not that bad that three ingredient ice cream recipe will bring a smile to your face. It’s as easy as it gets and has an amazing, rich and smooth texture. This homemade banana ice cream tastes pretty darn good too!

I’ve been making so many desserts lately for my website and have been so bad about my diet. What is great about this recipe is that in only contains a little bit of sugar and it still tastes amazing. Finally, something I don’t have to feel guilty about!

I started with slicing 3 bananas. They were quite ripe which is perfect because that means they’re sweeter and softer.

Then I divided them in two zip lock bags. One big would do but it’ll freeze faster if you can lay it flat.

I kept bananas in the freezer over night but they were frozen after 5 hours. Basically, if they’re frozen solid, you’re good to go.

In a blender I mixed together frozen bananas, powdered sugar and 1/4 cup of milk. If your bananas are sweet you might not even need sugar. It’s a good idea to mix bananas and milk and try first, before adding sugar.

I blended everything together until it ice cream turned smooth and creamy.

Serve immediately! Bon apetit! 🙂
