There goes my first fish recipe 🙂 I like fish in general but here are some kinds I’m not the biggest fan of. Which is kind of funny because I’m from a town surrendered by the lakes where you can get the most delicious smoke trout there is. No matter how many times my mom would make it for dinner and no matter how many important doctors and nutritionists would say that it’s so very healthy. For me some fish is just, well, too fishy. For that very reason I love white fish- it’s not too fishy, the meat has a very delicate taste and is soft and tender. Lemon gives tilapia a nice refreshing taste. All that this fish really needs is some salt, pepper, lemon and butter and it’s perfect. On top of it all tilapia is also budget- friendly and it takes 15 minutes to make. It’s a perfect light summer dinner!
I made 3 fillets but I’ll give you the proportions for 4 since it’s probably easier. I sprinkled salt, freshly ground pepper and lemon pepper on both sides of the fish.
I melted butter and poured it over each tilapia fillet.
I squeezed juice from 1 lemon. One trick I read about lately is cutting lemon in half and putting it in microwave for 10 seconds. That will make it easier to squeeze out more juice. Then I poured it over fish.
I chopped dill and sprinkled each fillet with it.
Then I put few lemon slices on top and I baked it at 350 F for 10 minutes. That’s all!

Ingredients (For 4 servings):
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup fresh chopped dill
- 1/2 teaspoon of lemon pepper
- freshly ground pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Sprinkle both sides of fish with salt and pepper.
- Pour melted butter and juice from one lemon on the fish.
- Sprinkle with fresh dill and top with some extra lemon slices.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350F. Enjoy!
